A fellow writer made the case for a horror game category. It would be amazing. Equally deserving are strategy board titles, which is someone's personal cause. However, I must insist when I prioritize just as with other dedicated enthusiasts, there's a strong justification backing this proposal is the most urgent and significant. The demand is this: There should be an award type for logic-based games.
Categorizing art by genre defies precise measurement; it’s very subjective, and typically generate discussions and end in fuzzy definitions. It's understandable that film award organizations don’t do it. The famous puzzle experience challenges well-known building titles for the title of highest-selling title ever; it’s also in the running for best game of all time. Logic titles represent cornerstones to the art of video games, while interacting with almost every other genre.
Logic titles wouldn't face such difficulty. It would be easy to populate a field of five engaging, different, qualified experiences each ceremony simply — or rather, with difficulty, since numerous excellent many worthy titles.
To emphasize again, these are games that otherwise have no home at major gaming awards. Puzzle game makers are working at the challenging frontier game development, creating some of the purest expressions of the video game form.
