'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues clash with City.

Ethan Galbraith grins broadly as he reminisces about the thrilling final moments of his team's stunning fightback triumph against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. The game culminated with Galbraith temporarily wearing a spectator's eyewear after the post-goal scrum.

As the match entered added time, Galbraith rattled the woodwork with a long-range strike from 25 yards, and his teammate immediately slammed home the loose ball before charging toward the crowd to mark the goal, with the crowd congregating around the players.

Stunning Reversal

The victory sealed an unbelievable comeback given Swansea had been behind 2-0 midway through the final 45 minutes. In the celebrations, there was some minor mishaps. The midfielder recalled, "There was a spectator sort of calling out and we were wondering: 'What's he on about here?' Then we noticed the glasses. It was a bit of banter putting them on. We are on the pitch as footballers but we're humans, too, so to have a joke with the fans is always good."

Pep Guardiola Test

The victory earned a upcoming match at home against Manchester City on Wednesday, a team Galbraith came close against at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with the London side in February. Galbraith had arguably the best view when the underdogs took the lead in remarkable manner, with a teammate's volley from about 45 yards going in via the crossbar and the Stefan Ortega. Many argued that it was deemed an own goal.

"You would have expected they would've credited him for attempting the shot from that range," says Galbraith, who played in the middle before shifting to right wing-back after the team changed shape. That meant getting to grips with Jack Grealish, with whom he swapped shirts, and the player was among the opposition who paid tribute to the way Orient played positively.

Opponent's Class

"Athletically they are outstanding but even the basics and basic skills, they can just execute repeatedly," the midfielder notes. "It appears that they never miss a pass and they are adept at manage and neutralize a game. You can think you're doing well and then without warning they will just fizz a pass through a line without you even noticing. You have to be switched on every second of the game. It requires a resilient mindset and attention just to stay in the game."

Swansea Move

The Welsh side sought to acquire Galbraith in January and fought off rivals to sign him in the summer in a £1.5m deal. He became a favorite as a fans' favourite across a couple of years at his former club and has quickly done the same in south Wales. At Orient he linked up again with his former manager, who previously gave Galbraith his first extended run in professional games on loan at his loan club from Manchester United. Then came a temporary move at League Two Salford City, before he permanently left Manchester United.

Growth Journey

"I was probably a slightly green going into men's football. I think numerous professionals would say youth team games is very different. Sometimes it feels like possession is exchanged without real physicality. There's not many hard challenges. Once you start playing professional matches you have to learn quickly."

International Recognition

He has shown that growth for club and country, excelling for his national side, who remain in contention for the global tournament next summer via the knockout phase and for whom he has featured in the last several matches, including two matches fixtures against Germany. The ex-coach, Galbraith's previous international manager, gave him the supreme accolade, saying he was Northern Ireland's "creative maestro" given how he manipulates the ball and his ability to spot a killer pass.

Humble Beginnings

It has been quite the ride for the youngster from the Queens Park estate in the Belfast suburb, just outside Belfast, who used to see his dad, the elder Galbraith, also a engine room operator, play for a local club.

Old Trafford Memory

The player's single match for Manchester United came in the away trip in 2019, a European competition trip to the Kazakh capital, where they competed on an artificial pitch and the venue ceiling was sealed owing to conditions of freezing cold. "That proved to be a extended travel and it was cold out there," he comments, smiling. "The week before, myself and quite a few of the young lads practiced as a group, so that helped us acclimatise. Just to join the main group and earn some playing time at the end was unbelievable."

Leaving United

What was the challenge was it to move on from Old Trafford, the club he signed from his boyhood team aged 16? "This turned out quite easy, because I got to the stage where I realized I couldn't establish myself at the top level. I'm very appreciative for the experience gained but it became apparent where I believed I had to take a different path, join a smaller club and play first-team games. Now I'm slowly progressing again."

New Environment

This occurs during mid-afternoon at the club's training ground but Galbraith has a commitment at 5pm: a driving theory test, another step towards getting on the road. Before his recent move to his new neighborhood, the 24-year-old was a regular in Swansea's so-called fun bus, a small coach driven by academy staff, the transport team, which ferries players to and from sessions and fixtures.

"It's myself Gonçalo Franco, Ronald, an Ivorian player – a former passenger used to be in it but has begun using his own car. It's pleasant to socialize with the teammates but I'm hoping to be the subsequent individual to stop using the bus and on the road. The Portuguese player is known for his humor; he's constantly causing mischief."

Fan Interactions

During his time at Leyton Orient, Galbraith would blend in with followers on public transport after starting his journey at Brentwood. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
